| 2. How many people work there? |
At the current time (summer 2007), WACOM Quartz employs 35 people at the Phoenix, AZ plant. We also have sales representatives based in Seattle WA, New York NY, and Santa Clara CA.

| 3. Are you hiring? |
Any current job openings can be found in the "People" section of this website. (Use the blue navigation buttons found at the top-left section of this page.) Our overall policy is to hire and keep only long-term minded personnel. The average WACOM Quartz employee has been working for WACOM and/or one of our "parent" companies for over 10 years. We are however, always on the lookout for new members of the team, especially highly skilled glassblowers, welders and machinists.

| 4. What is the fastest way to get some quartz parts made? |
Call one of our Sales Engineers. They can be reached at 602-470-1465 from 6am until 3pm Monday - Friday. For "in stock" parts or small simple jobs we can process an order and deliver in as little as one hour.

| 5. What Quality Control procedures do you have in place? |
WACOM Quartz is ISO-9001:2000 certified (and current) and has an active Quality Management System in place and working every day. We have standard as well as fall-back rules with checks and balances in place for all key procedures including: Management Review, Contract Review, Quoting, Order Processing, Receipt-Processing-Inspection-Delivery of Products, Corrective and Preventive Actions, Handling Customer Complaints, Documentation and Records, Product Handling & Storage, and many more.

| 6. What environmental and safety procedures do you have in place? |
We of course meet or exceed all OSHA and other federal, state and local requirements for safety and the environment. Beyond that, WACOM Quartz has implemented conservation plans to create savings for ourselves, our customers, and the environment. These include proactive procedures in the areas of Packaging (especially with customer-owned repair products), air-handling HVAC controls, acid neutralization on site, and modifications to our bulk Hydrogen and Oxygen tanks to save up to 25% of those gasses which were wasted in the past. WACOM Quartz received a letter of thanks from Salt River Project (our electric utility) for participation in their business off-peak usage commitment program which allowed us to save over 38% on electricity compared to before the plan was implemented.

For competitive reasons, we keep this information to ourselves. However as you can see in the "Partners" section of this website, our most trusted customers and vendors can learn who each other are when that knowledge benefits all parties.
